Google makes a point of not being a traditional multi-billion dollar company. Part of what that means is leaning heavily on small ad agencies to help promote many of their products. To wit: the bizarre Google Mobile ad above in which a man says the word ‘Pizza’ for nine and a half minutes. Wait for it, wait for it, hotdog.

Google doesn’t work exclusively with small shops, however, you probably remember the fantastic Speed Test ads for Google’s Chrome browser done by BBH.

MySpace to Compete with Gap in Bad Logo Competition

Not to be outdone by Gap, News Corp’s MySpace has unveiled a new strikingly bad logo. The idea isn’t all bad. MySpace is about whatever you want it to be about. I get it. However, your logo should include, at minimum, your company’s name.

It shouldn’t be surprising that MySpace is trying *everything* they can think of to reverse their current traffic trend. But I’m not sure this is helping.

Excellent new website for Old Navy called Booty Reader from CP+B. You give them a pic of your butt and they recommend jeans to complement it. The site is already getting tons of press, a real bang up job.

I wonder what happens with all those booty pics? Hopefully not some kind of internal Old Navy version of American Apparel’s Best Bottom Contest.
